A permanent endowment has recently been established to provide unrestricted support for the Life Flight Program at Duke University, in memory of Life Flight nurses Kris Harrison, R.N., Crystal Sollinger, R.N., pilot Jeff Burke, and patient Mary Bartlett. While the endowment certainly does not replace the friends we lost, we hope that it helps their memory to live on by providing ongoing opportunities for their peers.
Initially, this endowment will provide unrestricted support for the Life Flight Program. If enough funding is received to meet the amount required to restrict this endowment, it may then be used to provide educational support to benefit the members of the Life Flight Program team and be renamed The Life Flight 3 Educational Support Fund.
Several people reached out to us in September after the accident, asking for ways to help or donate to the team. Details regarding how to make a donation are listed below.
